Inspirational Mickey PIn

Love this pin!!
I saw this pin at Downtown Disney. I thought it was such a nod to Tim Holtz's work and Wendy Vecchi's work. I think it would be a great idea to take a die cut and use the Cuttlebug folder to emboss gears on other characters. I am going to buy this pin the next time I see it. Thought it might be an inspiration to others.
You can tell I miss my papercrafting hobby. I am hoping that when my sister, Chris and her husband, Tom get here on Sunday that we will have time to head over to our favorite craft store. I hope to have a video of that place for you all to see. Oops.. I've already picked up the Southern accent.
Thanks for checking out my blog. More to come.....

A Wonderful Day at Epcot

Car of the future
We decided to go to Epcot today . The weather was really lovely. We started out for Soarin. We only had to wait about ten minutes. Love this ride.. The park was not really overly busy. Next we went to Universe of Energy. That was fun. But my big accomplishment was going on TEST TRACK. I even kept my eyes open the whole time. A proud moment for me. Planet Earth was our last ride. We walked right on.

I'm with Cindy's boyfriend
We then headed for the Flower and Garden Show. I had been taking pictures of topiaries all day, but I wanted to go to the butterfly show. It was very nice. Not as big as  would have liked it, but nice. Beautiful pics of butterflies.
We continued on to  the World Showcase and ate lunch at our favorite place: Norway. Great sandwiches. Very relaxing as our feet were starting to get tired. We saw more cute topiaries and flowers. At the American pavillion the Fife and Drum corp were performing. Very formal. Loved it. We went to the show inside where the Liberty Singers were performing. Very nice sound. The American Experience show is always moving.

Very moving...
Our fee were getting tired, so we took the boat launch across the lake and headed back. We were so tired we ended up taking a nap. Probably a result of long drive down here.
Anyway, we will be heading out to dinner soon,  I think we will be heading out to Smokey Bones, maybe. Love their cornmeal muffins. Here are some more pictures from our day. If you want to see the whole album here is the link:

Doesn't she look real?

A Great First Day!!

What a feeling!!

I agree with Tigger about being at Disney. It's a great feeling. Russ and I had  no problem on our last leg of the road trip. Russ did a great job driving through all the traffic. He's a trooper.
We headed straight to Red Lobster for lunch. The food pictures are for my brother-in-law, Tom. He loves Red Lobster. The food was great as usual.
Russ and I are trying to eat healthy, so we stayed away from fried foods.
The only bad "thing" was the cheese biscuits, but we are only human. Wicked good, though.

We decided to walk around Downtown Disney 'cause we were really too early for check-in at Saratoga Springs. It was so nice just to walk around instead of be sitting in a moving vehicle. We got our chocolate fix at Girardelli with their free chocolates. We shopped at Goodings Grocery Store for breakfast "stuff".
We checked in at Saratoga. We got a pretty good room at Congress Park with a view of water and not far from our car. Color me happy...
We bought our annual park hoppers and hopped on over to Magic Kingdom. We went to Buzz Lightyear, Haunted House, The President's Hall, Lilo and Stitch, and watched the fireworks..impressive.
What a full day.. We are planning tomorrow was I type.  Check out the pictures below for an idea of the fun we had today. Thanks for looking...
What are you doing, Russ/???

Yippee! Yemasee...

Traffic Jam
We drove forever today. A traffic jam outside Washington D. C. held us up for a time. We got through after about 30 minutes. Bummer.
We headed towards Virginia, which was easy sailing. Hardly any traffic there.
We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel in Wilson, North Carolina. Good eats. The cornmeal muffins and homemade biscuits hit the spot.
Cracker Barrell rocks!
I couldn't help but check out their gift shop. It was full of great ideas for possible future cardmaking once I get back home. I loved the saying about chocolate. That could find it's way on a card, too.
I saw green grass for the first time in a long time. The weather was lovely. We started out in the morning at 45 degrees, but ended up the day at 81 degrees. Nice.....

So true!
We drove some more... alot more. We ended up in Yemassee, South Carolina. We are only about 5 hours from Disney. Can't wait to get there.. It's really been a fun road trip. Haven't seen any craft stores, but I know there is one in Florida. I hope to talk my husband into a little side trip...

Thanks for checking out my blog.. More to come tomorrow...

Almost There! Not really.....

We are on our way to Disney in Orlando...Yeah!! We traveled through snow for about 3 hours 'til we got to the southern part of Massachusetts. We stopped to eat at Friendly's in Danbury, Conn. Check out the pictures. I know you want to see the food. That's pretty much the excitement when you are on a road trip.
The weather continued to improve  as we kept driving. I reached 54 degrees and we hardly saw any snow. We ended up staying at Bel Air, Maryland at a Comfort Inn. Very nice...

Friendly's fare: grilled chicken/w salad

Dinner at Ruby Tuesday...Yummmy!

Who can resist garlic rolls!

Only 572 calories.. Delicious...

A Zentangle pattern
I took a picture of the lamp at Ruby Tuesday because it had a zentangle design that I could use on a card or some other craft project. Always looking for inspiration for my craft. Can't wait to get to Disney... Well, the bed is calling to me, so I am going to stop blogging and start snoring... Check in tomorrow to see where we end up. Thanks for looking....

                             Cindy's Birthday Party
What a great time we had at my sister, Rochelle's home celebrating our friend, Cindy's birthday. We brought salads and Mark, Rochelle's husband grilled the best beef tips. They practically melted in  your mouth. My sister, Chris, brought her grandson, Ezra, who was very entertaining and very polite. He even wore his Mickey hat 'cause Cindy loves Disney. Check out her blog on my blog list: Disney Lover. We all gave her a Troll bead of Donald Duck. She loved it!!
Mark and Rochelle did an excellent job on the meal. The pink tulips reminded me of how much I am anxious for Spring to come. Rochelle had made some wonderful favor holders out of the Scalloped Spellbinder's die cut. I believe she is going to give directions on her blog: See my blog list: Creative Corner. I f she hasn't posted them, just leave a comment that you would like to see them. Later, we  worked on learning new tips for our blogs. The guys watched basketball. It was a great evening full of laughter and stories.

Cindy with her Doanald Duck bead!

It was wonderful to see everyone  before we start driving out to Orlando,Florida. Russ and I are looking forward to seeing green grass and warm temperatures. I am leaving my last card project unfinished on my studio table ready for me to finish when I get back. It's the drawer box card. I've finished the drawers, so now I just need to get chipboard to finish the top and bottom.
Waiting for me.....
I'll be blogging all the way to Florida and while we enjoy Disney in Orlando. Check in to see how the trip is going. Thanks for stopping by.

Pampered Chef in the Studio!

I am not presently working on any cards because my husband and I will be taking off for our Florida trip soon. I am actually cleaning my studio 'cause I hate to come home to a mess after a lovely vacation. I thought you might like to see one of my storage ideas that I think works very well for me.  My studio is located in the loft of our condo. Very convenient to the bedroom and bathroom next door. It's not a huge room, so I have to really keep finding ways to store my materials.

Craft Fair Season

My sisters and I just completed a Fall Craft Fair at the Wells Junior High in Wells. We did have a good   time meeting some really nice pe...
