March Madness

It has been a busy month for me... Alot has happened this past month that has been fun and exciting for us. The first of the month we went to Disney with my sister, Chris, and her husband, Tom. We had some good fun. The week went way too fast.
River of Lights

Our walk to Epcot
We went to all the parks while we were there. The River of Lights was cool, but wish we could see the animals better.
The Flower and Garden Festival was going on. Love seeing all the plants around Epcot.
Best meal for me
Joe's Crabshack had the best meal for me. The corn was out of this world. Fresh is always best.

Donald is flying...

We got to walk around the new Disney Springs. It is quite a walk, but I still love the old part of the area better than all the new stores.
My girlfriend, Elaine, has a birthday in March. I am always getting her card and gift late to her. This year I was early, Kinda proud of that . This is the card I made for her. I cased it off Pinterest.
Happy Birthday, Elaine!
Favors for Chris...
I used an embossing folder for the background and a Stampin Up stamp for the sentiment. The flowers are a die cut that I have, I think from Spellbinders. Not sure on that one.

My sisters and I have been working on a surprise retirement party for my sister, Chris. She has retired from being a bank manager at Norway Savings. It is a well deserved retirement. We plan on having lots of fun together now that we are both retired.
We made the above favors for the party filled with choclates. The flower is the Gerber daisy die from Sizzix that my sister, Rochelle, has. I want to get it wicked. We made the bags too, I think Rochelle has the die cut but I am not sure of that .

A marble cake
The cake was ordered from Cakes Extrordinaire. It was delicious.
We had fun surprising her and celebrating another phase of her life.

Great money plant

Chris's Retirement Card
I made her retirement card using the center step fold. I have made this one before but it has been awhile. Here is a link to the template I used: Center Step Card template
I used Memory Box's butterfly die to embellish and some flowers from Prima I had in my stash. The clock face is from Butterbee Scraps. This is a great company to buy bits and pieces of things. I love it,

Oragami Box

I made this Oragami Box one afternoon after wanted to work on something a little different. It was super fun, but I had to trash the first one as the paper I used was too thick. This box uses a thinner paper to make sure you get good folds. Here is the link to making this box: Oragami Star Box Video

A Sympathy Card
I made the sympathy card for the family of my first husband's step mother. She past away in February, I believe. She was a nice lady who took care of my father in-law right up until his death a few years ago. I know she will be missed.
I used a punch I have from MaGill. I really like how it makes a neat detail. The leaves are from a Spellbinder die.

Her Grandpa Ken  took this awesome picture of her.....
Our granddaugher celebrated her birthday in February. She is two years old now. How time flies. We had a grand time at her party with watching her get excited opening her gifts. Grandchildren are such a blessing from God.
 A Mickey theme, of course...
