August Goes Too Quickly

Add caption

August is a month filled with birthdays in my family so I am busy making cards. This card was made for my sister, Andrea.  I love the Julie Nutting design of doll stamps. This is one of her designs. It reminds me of when I use to play with those paper dolls as a kid.
The "Joie De Vivre" sentiment is from Graphic 45. I used Tim Holtz's die cut easel stand to make this tag stand. You can put your feelings on the back even with the easel stand there.

Ikea utility cart
I am so proud that I was able to put this whole cart together without any help from Russ. Well, he did have to tighten one wheel for me. But I did everything else. I went to Massachusetts this past weekend and my sister, Adrianne, took me to the Ikea in her neighborhood.
I loved it. So much to see and so little time. This is where I bought this cart for only 30.00. A very durable cart with wheels that move around on the rug easily.
Love their display of clocks.
I am going to use it to store  my flower collection. I also plan to put my Julie Nutting stamps and Sizzix pop up die cut plates.
I will share a picture next time of how I organized some of my stuff and where I plan to put it in my craftroom. I think I could use another one and place them side by side. We will see...

Beautiful paper...
I am working with  my girlfriend, Elaine, on a wedding album for her son and daughter-in-law. She has chosen a beautiful paper collection. The picture at the right is just two pages she has done so far. It will be gorgeous. Thank goodness we do not have a deadline, so we can take our time and really put our creative minds together.
I will post pictures when it is done. I might even show you with a video.

Sunflowers I grew...
These are the sunflowers I grew this summer from seeds. They are quite gorgeous now.  I am pretty proud. However, these were suppose to be the 18 inch ones and they were not. Someone put the wrong seeds in the packet.
Oh well, they are still pretty, but way too tall. Almost like cutting down a tree to get to the flowers.
I love the fall with the weather being my kind of weather. Warm days with light breezes and cool nights are just right.
I am working on so many projects that I hope to have more to share in  my next post.
   Happy Fall!!!
