Month of May

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. No excuses. I just didn't feel like blogging. Not sure why... I have been busy, but I usually blog first thing in the morning when it is quiet here. I guess I need to get back into my routine and stop being so lazy.
Evy's album
I have been working on an album with just pictures of my granddaughter in it I want to set it on  my coffee table, so that I can look through it whenever I need an Evy fix.
I bought the directions for this project from J Ann B Designs. She gives you written directions plus a video to help you. She really does a good job. It was worth the 8.00.
Here are a few pictures to show you the result. I am not done with putting pictures it it yet. Working on it. Also, I did not really like how the back looked so I shortened it.

The back
I added some charms to make it look pretty. The buttons add a nice little touch, too. They also help you slide the photmats out more easily.
From the top
I am using Graphic 45 paper for this project. I love this paper and all their collections. I save this paper for only really special projects.
The hidden hinge is used here just as if you were making a regular mini album. I really enjoyed making this one. I can't wait to finish it with all the pictures of Evy I have to put in it. It might be awhile to get it done.

Evy is growing up so fast. Love babysitting with her. She is so much fun.

Evy at our house.

This is her table set that she uses
in her playroom. I bought that months
before she was born.
I made this retirement card for my brother-in-law, Tom. He really loves going to Disney World, so this was the perfect card for him.
Love this one if her thinking about
what I am saying.
I used the Mickey that was in our room at the Beach Club resort in Orlando. It was part of our welcome package. I loved it so much I brought it home and used it here. I just cut off the bottom and used Mickey's head.
The sentiment is a stamp I picked up somewhere in my travels from Northwoods stamps.I do not know where the paper is from since I used some scraps I had in my stash.

In March we drove to Columbus, Georgia to see my sister, Phillis and her husband, Cary. They just moved there and we wanted to check out their new home. When we got back I had been working on this album that my sister, Rochelle taught us to make using file folders. It was  so easy.
I added this cover to give it a more album look using the ribbon you see on the side. I punched two holes in the spine and two holes in the pages and went to work.
Rochelle has a blog called Creative Corner which is a blog that I follow and is listed on my blog. You should check out her posts.
I used some Graphic 45 cards and some prima flowers to give the album a finished look. The clock you see is a magnet that keeps the album closed. Love it...
The inside pages had to be kept simple or it would not close properly. I made a flap and some pockets, but it will hold quite a few pictures.

I got together with my sisters, Rochelle, Chris, and Andrea. We worked on making these favors for a graduation party for Andrea's daughter, Emma.  It is so hard to believe she is graduating from high school this June. Where does the time go?
Rochelle had everything cut out and we just assembled the favor. Love how they came out.
The die cut is called Curvy Keepsakes from Stampin Up. You can make so many different designs using this die cut. You should go on Pinterest and put "Curvy Keepsakes " in as a search and you will be amazed on what you can do with this die cut.

Hard at work

The perfect gift...
Mother's Day was wonderful. The kids came over and we just hung out with Evy. Nathaniel helped us change out our computer. We bought a new one and so he worked on the technical stuff to get it up and running. He is a genius at computers.
Kristin and Nathaniel gave me some lovely flowers. They look so pretty. They also gave me a mystery puzzle cause they know I love mysteries. You read about the mystery first and then put the puzzle together to solve the mystery. No picture to go by. It is a real challenge but loads of fun.

Playing with Evy

I love seeing the kids and of course ,Evy.
It is always a treat to be together and see what a wonderful family God had put together. I feel so blessed.
I am looking forward to working on  my gardens and getting some yard work done.  I hope to be blogging more,
