Birthdays Galore!

Happy Birthday, Evy!
I have been right out straight working on birthday cards for the month of January and February.
Our granddaughter, Evy, is turning one year old. So hard to believe it has almost been a whole year since she came into our lives. We are so blessed.
She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I made a Minnie Mouse birthday card for her. I got the idea from a card I saw on Pinterest. I changed a lot ,but kept the layout, pretty much.
Minnie is so cool!
The inside of the card I pieced together from graphics I found online. I fussy cut Minnie and the balloons and arranged them under the sentiment.
She is be a one year old.
For Kristin.
Hope Evy likes it!  Well, at least some day she may appreciate the cuteness of this card.
Our daughter-in-law, Kristin, and Evy both have a birthday
Bette's card
It is a lovely stamp set that you can use in so many ways. I fussy cut around the rose after using my copic markers to color the rose.
I embossed the background with the same floral design and added the leaves and ribbon. I used a Spellbinders die cut for the Happy Birthday sentiment.
I made another birthday card for my sister-in-law, Bette. She is my husband's sister and what a delight she is to me.
I used Stampin Up's owl punch and the Top Note die cut. The branch and leaves are from Memory Box.
I like how I did the eyes. Kinda cute, huh? Birthday's are done until April. Whew!
Tri-fold pocket
My friend, Elaine, sent me a pin from Pinterest that was a video tutorial in French. Now, I do not speak French, but I used the internet to translate the written words on the video. I felt pretty proud that I could do that and get this project done. I have put the video in here in case you would like to see this girl work.
I had to convert her measurement from centimeters to inches. I made a few mistakes but I think I got it right.

Pull out the cards for pictures or for jounaling.
These pictures show the inside of my tri-fold. I had a fun time working on this project. It did not take long at all.
I think you could substitute the envelopes for paper. Just remember to leave both ends open for your pockets. You would not have to color the edges to hide the white of the envelope.
I think I might try it on another one .
This would be great to add to a mini-album or a folio.
 I added pull tabs.

My written directions
I took a picture of my written directions, if it would help you with making your own tri-fold pocket projects. Have fun!
We are off to Disney World again. Looking forward to a restful time there. We just finished shoveling and snowblowing our driveway, so putting our toes in sand sounds mighty good.
Thanks to Jenna for house sitting for us. It makes us feel like we can go away and not worry.
I am going to try and do blog posts of our trip, but I have to use my iPad and that can be tricky. My posts may be short.
Thanks to Don Small for snowblowing our drive while we are gone. I hear there may be a Nor' easter while we are gone. I hope not..
Happy Winter.....
